Walks (with pubs!) Near St Faith's 

This clifftop walk begins around 5 minutes from St Faith’s at Morwenstow Church and follows a stunning stretch of the South West Coast Path. The route passes dramatic cliffs, rugged coastline, and the famous Hawker’s Hut — the smallest National Trust property, built from shipwreck timber.
Pub stop: The Bush Inn, located in Morwenstow, dates back to the 13th century and offers excellent local ales, hearty meals, and a cosy, historic atmosphere.
Why this walk is great: Incredible sea views, a mix of history and nature, and one of the best traditional pubs in North Cornwall.

Starting just 2 minutes from St Faith’s, this walk follows the South West Coast Path from Duckpool to Sandymouth. The trail offers breathtaking views of folded cliffs, hidden coves, and wide-open beaches. At Sandymouth you can enjoy refreshments at the Sandymouth Café (seasonal).
Pub option nearby: After your walk, head to the Preston Gate Inn in Poughill (10 minutes from Duckpool or Sandymouth), known for great food, local beers, and a friendly atmosphere.

• The Barrel at Bude – a small, award-winning micropub specialising in Cornish ales and ciders.

Sandymouth to Bude Seafront Walk (with The Brendon Arms & The Coffee Pot)

This route starts about 5 minutes from St Faith’s at Sandymouth Beach and follows the South West Coast Path south towards Bude. The walk includes sweeping views of the rugged coastline, dramatic folded cliffs, and long stretches of sandy beach. As you arrive in Bude, you can enjoy the lively seafront atmosphere.

Hartland Quay Coastal Walk (with The Wrecker’s Retreat Bar)

Located around 20 minutes from St Faith’s, Hartland Quay offers one of the most dramatic coastal walks in the area, with towering cliffs and spectacular views over the Atlantic. The route takes you along rugged cliff paths, passing wildflower meadows, waterfalls, and rocky coves.
Pub stop:
• The Wrecker’s Retreat Bar – perched right on the edge of the cliffs at Hartland Quay, this pub serves hearty meals and is filled with shipwreck history.
