Beaches Near St Faith's

Stanbury Mouth Beach is our closest beach and one of Cornwall’s most unspoilt coastal spots. Tucked below dramatic cliffs near Morwenstow, it is reached via a scenic walk and offers a peaceful, wild atmosphere. At low tide, rocky ridges give way to an open stretch of sand, while the beach’s quiet, isolated setting means seals are often spotted along the shoreline or bobbing in the surf. With no facilities on site, it is ideal for quiet coastal walks, picnics, and enjoying Cornwall’s rugged coastline in its natural state.

Summerleaze is Bude’s main sandy beach, popular for families and easy to access from the town centre. It offers plenty of space, gentle sand at low tide, and lifeguard cover in summer. The beach is home to the Bude Sea Pool, a tidal seawater pool built into the rocks that provides a sheltered alternative to swimming in the open sea. Visitors can enjoy good facilities including parking, toilets, showers, cafés, and beach huts for hire.

Sandymouth Beach

Sandymouth sits a few miles north of Bude and offers a dramatic, unspoilt coastline. Managed by the National Trust, the beach features cliffs, rock formations, and long stretches of sand at low tide. It is popular with walkers, surfers, and those who enjoy quieter, more rugged scenery. Facilities include a National Trust car park, seasonal café, and toilets.

Duckpool Beach

Duckpool is a wild and secluded cove north of Bude, known for its natural beauty and dramatic cliffs. A small stream meets the sea here, and the beach is surrounded by open countryside. It is ideal for walking, photography, and rock-pooling. Because of strong currents and lack of lifeguards, it is less suited to swimming. Facilities are limited, making it perfect for visitors seeking peace and nature.
